ARG's

For a few years I have been a mild spectator of various ARG's or Alternate reality games. I got hooked on I love bee's when Halo2 was coming out a while back and since have gotten into a few others Deus City, Perplex city, Lost Experience and a few minor ones. ARG are games that for the most part use more then one medium in there playing. There are most times real world elements to the games as well. For example the end of Perplex city occurred when the object the fictional characters in the games story was found buried in a park in England. I love bees had phone calls to various pay phones that had to be answered by members of the "crew" to provide parts of an ongoing audio drama. It really is very fun, I have only participated in 3 live events but I would love to do more, I think ARG's are the next big thing.

A few days ago I heard about a new ARG tied in with a possible new MMO release. It is a very neat story, it ties in with a lot of lovecraftian lore as well as a ton of various conspiracy theories. We don't know much about the game as of yet but the ARG is very compelling and if the game lives up to my hopes it will be the first MMO to even have a shot at taking me away from wow.

Ok so I got it all set up how I want it. So Let me just mention what I hope to do with this blog. I am an avid player of World of warcraft, in fact that is the name of my character up there. Dolar, the Dwarf paladin. I am also an avid gamer of all Genres.

I hope to write a bit about WoW, a bit about TV, a bit about gaming in general. I will offer reviews and opinions of what I see and do. I hope to just kind of make this place interesting.

I am new to this so give me a while to get used to it all. I will be posting a long rant about Fallout 3, and about Heroic dungeons in wow very soon, so stay with me, lots more to come very soon.
